Julia Jones, Tinsel Korey and Alex Meraz are going to be hosting at TAO Beach and at LAVO in Las Vegas on Friday, July 23 and Saturday, July 24. So if you live in the area and is old enough, stop in and see them.
Julia Jones, who joined “Eclipse” as Leah Clearwater, said the intimidation was overwhelming at first, but diffused pretty quickly. She had already spent time with her fellow wolf pack members, Chaske Spencer and Alex Meraz, but she said it wasn’t until she met the Big Three (Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner) that she got over her shell shock.
“My first day on set was a couple days before we started filming I went for some hair and make-up tests, I got out of the van and the first person I saw was Taylor and he just introduced himself and was so nice,” Julia said. “And 10 steps later was Kristen, and then, you know, you’re halfway there.”
Still, the big stars aren’t the only element of the “Twilight” films that set them apart from normal film sets, but Julia said she had to take those inconsistencies as they came.
“I had never been on a set of that size before and just getting used to that and things like the paparazzi there all the time,” she said. “There were a lot of X-factors that you have to calibrate really fast to.”
InStyle Asks the Cast: “What Do You Want to Take Home from the Set of The Twilight Saga?”
Taylor Lautner
“All my character wears is jean shorts, so I’ll have to go with those. That’s my only option!”
Julia Jones
“Leah’s cut-offs!”
Tinsel Korey
“My relationship with everybody from set. We get along like a real family. Our relationship is special.”
Alex Meraz
“The shorts are all I’ve got! We keep using the same shorts but I keep getting bigger for each film, so the shorts keep getting tighter. By the end of the series, they’re going to be torn.”
THE SCR talks to Julia, Alex and Chaske
Bayer: I’m going to talk to Taylor Lautner about this as well. You guys are wearing jean shorts. When you turn into a wolf, you rip through them. How many pairs do you think you’re going through and where are you getting them?
Julia: Well, more often then not, we go off into the woods, take them off and then change. But in my mind, maybe Sue goes to the local Wal-Mart and just buys tons of them.
Alex: I think creative license. I don’t know where they go, I don’t know how they come back. They are just there.
Bayer: Maybe the wolves should look into getting sponsored. Levi’s or something.
Bayer: Julia, as the only female werewolf, do you imagine there’s a hazing process that goes a long with that?
Julia: Do I imagine? [laughter] There is. This guy (points to Alex) is always telling me something to do, and then I ask Chaske to see if it’s right.
Bayer: You here about actors doing this, have you guys decided anything about your characters that isn’t in the script?
Chaske: More kissing. He should be making out all the time.
Julia: That she’s really uncomfortable physically being a wolf. Maybe it’s feminine for something. Like it’s not bread into her.
Bayer: Julia, have you had any experiences with the Twilight fan base yet?
Julia: Not really. I’ve had people look at me like I’m an alien but that’s it.
Alex: Yeah, it’s kind of a look. Like maybe you have a booger. It almost feels condescending.
Julia: Yeah, like I’m doing something wrong.
